Born near the Mediterranean Sea, Hélène Beurnier married
and settled in Belgium many years ago. Her first contacts with watercolour occurred under the direction of Mrs. Lee Mine Wei who initiated her to the subtilities of Far-East painting. After following a few private lectures, she studied drawing and painting at the "Ecole des Arts" of Braine l'Alleud. As she has, lately, reduced her professionnal activities. she can, now, dedicate more time to her passion. |

Her very opposite ancestries (Alsatian and Spanish) do that, in her works, she swings
unconsciously from the northerly severity to the southerly impulsivity. A great diversity results from that, as well in the choosen subjects as in the realisation technics. Charm and freshness are supported by the strength of the construction. One feels the will to be in service of beauty. |
